Welcome to Spiral Dust Studio
Far behind is a planet where mediocrity is the rule, and the extraordinary is forbidden. Lust for the almighty coin has corrupted the inhabitants of that once-proud world—a world that created marvelous things.
Take a deep breath as the oxygen pumps kick in, bringing fresh air to your lungs. Relax. Close your eyes, and know that the course plotted will never take you back to that planet's gravity well again. You're in deep space now, where amazing things can and do happen every day. All it takes on your part is the willingness to explore, to accept a reality far grander than you or anyone else could visualize.
Outside lies the ethereal glow of the Milky Way, with innumerable stars blending into a dusty haze towards the galactic center. The ship's instruments are all reading green, patiently awaiting your command.
Will you go forward? The Universe is waiting...
Who am I?
My name is Joshua Barney. I'm an artist, and a writer. Currently, I am attending university for my bachelor's degree in physics. I love astronomy, and I am working hard to become an astronomer, a dream I have had since I was very young.
What's this site about?
Spiral Dust is my effort at blending all of my talents and interests together into a coherent whole. Spiral Dust can be thought of as my pulpit to the world, where I can speak my mind using a broad range of mediums, from writing to art, to animation.
At the crux of this site is a desire to share the wonders of the Universe with my fellow humans. If I can give the curious just a taste of what's out there, then all the effort I have expended creating this site will have been worth it.
